Trinity Christian College is seeking a Director of the Institute for Counseling and Assessment to direct and maintain personal and career counseling services during the 2013-14 academic year, while concurrently developing and suggesting a structure for the Institute for Counseling and Assessment to be implemented in 2014-15. The Institute will be developed as a collaborative initiative between Student Development and the graduate program in counseling psychology. The successful candidate will be able to craft and carry out a vision for the Institute developed out of Trinity’s commitment to providing a high level of clinical care for our students, a rich experiential training setting for our graduate students, and an ability to serve the surrounding community via assessment and counseling services. The Director will report to the Vice President for Student Development and Retention.
Doctorate strongly preferred, candidates in doctoral program considered. Licensed clinical/counseling psychologist or LCPC in Illinois. At least five years of experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively, appropriately and professionally about confidential and sensitive information. Ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of students. Additional qualifications include a sincere allegiance to the mission of the College and a personal faith and commitment to Jesus Christ.
