“As Christ called me to be an educator, he began to equip me with the skills, tools, and understanding that I needed to make a difference in the lives of my students and their families,” said Robert Wennberg, assistant professor of education. “My desire is to be a positive witness for Christ through my words and actions.”
Wennberg’s position as an educator and a witness for Christ has been refined over the past 38 years of teaching in various settings and institutions. He served many years as a middle school and high school teacher, assistant principal and principal at a middle school and elementary school, and as an educational consultant.
“I believe that it is God’s desire that we make a difference for his kingdom in the work that we do on this earth,” said Wennberg. “Through our role modeling, serving with excellence, and conforming to the Lord’s ways, he can use us to help shine the light of his love, goodness, and grace.”
Wennberg’s desire to serve has led him to be involved in worship choirs, Sunday school, adult Bible classes, Scouts, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters. He has served as a deacon in his church and as a worship leader.
