I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, but have lived in Los Angeles CA, Grand Rapids MI, Phoenix AZ, San Jose CA, New York NY, and Hakodate Japan over the years before returning to the Chicago area in 2012.

Even though I did not graduate from Trinity, I have many family members and friends who are a part of the community, and I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing place with such a distinct Christian mission.
What is your favorite quote?
I love my friends and I love to write, so the last lines of the book Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White are my favorite quote. "It is not often that someone comes along who is a true friend and a good writer. Charlotte was both."
What is your favorite place to eat in Chicago?
DMK Burger Bar in Lombard. (It’s closer than the original one in Lakeview!)
What are some of your hobbies/interests?
I like to run, cycle, and read in my free time.
What kind of music have you been listening to lately?
Coldplay, Mumford & Sons, the Lumineers, Greg Laswell, and old favorites The Cure and Duran Duran.
What is one thing that is on your bucket list?
I would love to visit all 50 US states and set foot on all 7 continents. I’m currently about 10 states and 4 continents away from meeting that goal.

Possession by A.S. Byatt and The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell.
Favorite places to travel?
Anywhere that is different from home! I lived in Japan for 8 years, so I would love to travel there again soon and visit friends who became like my family. I miss them dearly.
Piece of advice you would give someone choosing a college?
It’s OK not to have your future mapped out entirely before you begin college. The beauty of a liberal arts education is that you can discover your gifts and how to best use them to serve God as you go, because you have a strong foundation from which to start. There are many talented people at Trinity, from faculty to staff and beyond, whose passion, calling, and job it is to help you discover those gifts.
