Our next stop was Fresno Christian. Chapel started at 12:10 and we had 50 minutes to drive. We packed up everything in under 30 minutes (which was a new record) and headed north to Fresno where we also set up in record time (probably 30 minutes). We were a little worn out after tearing down and setting up quickly, and we were not sure what to expect with the student body. Fresno blew us away though. They came ready to worship, and we were incrediablly blessed to have spent time worshipping with them. They are a great group of students, and I would love to back there again and worship with them! After chapel we went and grabbed some lunch at the best local Mexican restaruant. I was able to have a break from driving the van and was able to take a nice nap on the drive to Ripon. The day before, I drove us from Huntington Beach to Visalia which was about four and a half hours, thanks to LA traffic. I think it is a safe bet that I won't make that same trip during that time of the day again! Back to Ripon--we arrived and then went to an alumni gathering where President Timmermans, Rick Van Dyken, and Travis Bandstra had come to meet with the alumni. We did our thrid and final set up of the day at Ripon Christian where we will be playing tomorrow and then traveling to Walnut Creek to Contra-Costa Christian High.
The trip has been a great expierence so far, and I am looking forward to the rest of it. It has been a blessing to be with generous host families. The schools have also been great. Our team continues to get along great and for that I am very thankful.
Thank you for the prayers and however you may have helped us along our way.
