MusicDr. Paul Melidona, a native of Ohio, was first clarinet in the Youngstown Symphony Youth Orchestra, as well as principal clarinet with the Youngstown State University Wind Ensemble. He also performed as principal clarinet with the Washington Wind Symphony, Seattle, Wash., and was guest clarinetist with the East Side Symphony Orchestra and the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra.
Melidona holds a Bachelors Degree in Sacred Music, a Masters Degree in Music Performance and a Doctorate in Worship Studies. In addition to his work as a clarinetist, Melidona has sung tenor with the Lubbock Choral, Texas, and the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus, NY, and the Chicago Symphony Chorus, Ill. Melidona is also an ordained minister and has held numerous positions in local churches in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Oregon, Washington State, Texas, New York, Canada, and Illinois. He has written nearly one hundred worship songs and won second runner up in an international songwriting competition Sponsored by Wired2Worship.
Dr. Melidona teaches clarinet and saxophone lessons at Trinity.
