Employee-Screening Procedures and Exposure to COVID-19 Notification Process Archives

Self-screening daily, ongoing testing, and protecting through isolation and quarantine capabilities will help keep the campus safe throughout the semester.

All Trinity students, faculty, and staff who are accessing the campus community are required to self-screen daily for symptoms (daily self-report known COVID exposure, testing, and/or related symptoms via the #CampusClear app). Trinity is utilizing the app #CampusClear for daily screening. Students, staff, and faculty with a “green screen” are cleared to participate in campus life. Students, staff, and faculty with a “red screen” will be required to submit additional information regarding their situation and remain in their room or stay at their home until officially cleared for campus return by campus personnel. Depending on the circumstances, students and employees may be asked to quarantine or be tested for COVID-19. The COVID Care team provides support throughout this process.

Any member of the Trinity community, whether faculty, staff, or students, who tests positive or is presumed positive by a medical care provider should immediately report to COVIDCare@trnty.edu. If a residential student tests positive for COVID-19 or is presumed to have COVID-19 by a medical professional, they will be required to immediately isolate in their assigned room under direction from the Campus Health Coordinator and Residence Life staff, or may be approved to isolate at home, as long as required by CDC guidelines. Students who have been exposed to COVID-19 or presumed to have been exposed to COVID-19 will be required to quarantine for at least 14 days. (Trinity is monitoring the newer CDC guidelines to adjust this timeframe, and we await Cook County Department of Public Health approval for an adjustment). With approval from the Campus Health Coordinator and Residence Life, students may complete the period of isolation (the term used for COVID-19 positive persons) or quarantine (the term for persons of known or suspected exposure) at home or another off-campus location. On-campus quarantine space will be limited.
