Students Come Together to Save “Trollsboro” in Disaster Simulation
Recently, more than 60 Trinity undergraduate and graduate students across a range of majors, including nursing, social work, education, and psychology, participated in a disaster simulation that struck the fictional town of Trollsboro.

Mark Your Calendars for OPUS 2022
OPUS, Trinity’s annual festival of student scholarship, is taking place on Wednesday, April 20. The word “opus” is Latin for work. Whether it’s the arts and humanities, natural and applied sciences, or social sciences, students from all disciplines can present their work or attend this annual celebratory conference.

Trinity Names Five as Founders’ Scholars
For every incoming class, our Founders’ Scholars stand apart even amongst their exceptional peers. Normally, Trinity designates two incoming freshmen to receive the prestigious, full-tuition Founders’ Scholarships. Yet thanks to the generosity of our donor community, Trinity has been able to designate five Founders for the Class of 2026.
Trinity Professors Named Chicago Semester Scholars
Along with many Trinity students who have taken advantage of everything Chicago Semester has to offer, several professors from the College, including Dr. Bill Boerman-Cornell, will be participating in Chicago Semester’s Summer 2022 Scholar-In-Residence program.

98 Percent of the Class of 2021 Are Employed or in Grad School
According to data from Trinity’s Cooper Center for Vocation and Career Development, 97.7 percent of the graduates in the Class of 2021 are employed or in graduate school. That far surpasses the nationwide average of 82.4 percent.
Congratulations to Fall 2021 Dean’s List Students
The Dean’s List is Trinity Christian College’s highest academic honor. Congratulations to all our undergraduate students who met this distinction for the Fall 2021 semester.
Education Program Recognized by College Factual
Trinity’s emphasis on its education program was recently recognized by College Factual, which named Trinity among the “most focused” programs.
U.S. News Names Trinity a Top 20 School
The life-changing value of a Trinity education has once again been recognized by U.S. New and World Report, which named Trinity to several of its “best” lists for 2022, including among the Top 20 Regional Colleges Midwest and #15 for social mobility.
Boerman-Cornell Appears on Comic-Con Panel
Helping teachers incorporate graphic novels into the classroom is one topic the Comic-Con Educational Series recently tackled. Trinity Professor of Education Bill Boerman-Cornell appeared as a panelist to share strategies, resources, and lessons to improve methods of teaching with this highly effective medium.
Education Program Honored by Colleges of Distinction
Trinity education majors leave the College confident in what they believe and possess the skills and experience necessary to excel in their field for good, according to Colleges of Distinction. The organization has once again recognized Trinity’s education program, among numerous categories.
Alumni Success Story: Emma (Darcy) Schneider ‘19
After graduating from Trinity, Emma (Darcy) Schneider ’19 spent a year teaching English at the high-school level. But she missed theater and decided to earn a graduate degree from the University of Chicago in Theater & Performance Studies while serving as theater program coordinator at Trinity.
Recognizing Emeriti Professors Meyer and Snoeyink
Along with celebrating graduates on May 8, the College also honored the emeritations of two long-time faculty members who have retired at the end of the 2020-21 academic year: Joy Meyer ’78, Ed.D., associate professor of education, licensure officer, and dean of education; and Rick Snoeyink, Ph.D.

Continuing a years-long tradition of excellence and recognition, Trinity Christian College has been named among the “Best Midwestern Regional Colleges” by U.S. News & World Report for 2021. Trinity was also named a “Best Value” college and a “Top Performer on Social Mobility.”
Alumni Success Story: Holli Moote ’13
Holli Moote ‘13 always had her heart set on becoming a teacher. Four years at Trinity and two countries later, Moote is living out her passion by teaching music to children halfway around the globe.
Honoring Rudenga for Years of Service
At the May 2020 commencement, Trinity announced the retirement of two beloved, long-time professors, Professor of Education Liz Rudenga, Ph.D., and Professor of Music Helen Van Wyck, D.M.A. Both professors were awarded emeriti status by Trinity’s Board of Trustees.
