Workshop Title: Moving Toward Wholeness: Exploring Dance Therapy for Holistic Wellness
Facilitator: Lisaura Lozada Goode, LCPC, BC-DMT (Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist)
Synopsis:
This engaging workshop on how dance therapy can nurture holistic wellness for both providers and their clients. Facilitated by Lisaura Lozada-Goode, this interactive session invites you to explore the profound connection between mind, body, and spirit while discovering how movement can be a powerful tool for healing and integration. You will learn how cultivating body awareness can deepen your connection to God, help you recognize personal limits and needs, and bring a sense of calm and restoration to your work as a provider. This workshop includes hands-on exercises and practical tips, offering a gentle and inspiring way to integrate movement into your practice and support clients on their journey toward wholeness.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will learn how integrating mind, body, and spirit contributes to overall well-being and how dance therapy uniquely supports this integration.
- Attendees will explore how movement enhances awareness of body cues, limits, and needs, fostering connections with God, themselves, and others. They will also learn simple strategies to help clients practice body awareness.
- Through guided experiential exercises, participants will gain tools to recuperate from professional demands and maintain presence, which can be modeled to support their clients’ healing journeys.

Title: Reframing Healing: Envisioning a New Perspective Through Art
Facilitator: Leah Renee Jones, MA, ATR-P, LPC
Synopsis:
This workshop invites participants to explore how art therapy offers a fresh lens for fostering healing and growth. Grounded in creativity and self-reflection, art therapy helps clients reframe their narratives and envision new possibilities. Participants will engage with materials while discovering how art therapy can be a transformative addition to traditional counseling approaches. The session will also include a hands-on activity to deepen understanding and inspire personal and professional growth.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how art therapy facilitates reframing and new perspectives in the healing process.
- Explore the role of materials and environment in enhancing therapeutic experiences.
- Participate in an experiential activity to personally connect with the reframing process through art.
- Reflect on how to integrate art-based techniques into their future counseling practices.
