Earn your minor in entrepreneurship

If you have a passion for exploring innovative organization, Trinity’s minor in entrepreneurship will provide invaluable insights as you launch your career. Along with our Center for Entrepreneurship and Community Empowerment, entrepreneurial management majors engage in experiential learning opportunities in creativity and innovation, change management, the startup process.

A minor in entrepreneurship can augment a degree in accountancy, finance, marketing and other degrees. You will explore principles of accounting, as well as theories of marketing and management.

Earn your B.A. in business education

The global community needs business people with a Christian perspective. And Trinity’s business program Connects to Greater by empowering you to discern, develop, and deploy your gifts and calling. When you receive a bachelor of art degree in business education, you will have a wide-ranging foundation of core business principles like accounting, economics, organizational behavior, and marketing, as well as a minor in secondary education.

Since Trinity is located just 25 miles from downtown Chicago, you will study in one of the country’s major financial centers, home to Fortune 500 companies and startups alike.

Business education majors are eligible for an Illinois Professional Educator License with an endorsement in business, marketing, and computer education at the secondary (grades 6-12) level.

Let's get you ready with a B.S. in Accounting

For students with a love of numbers and the desire to work with organizations, Trinity offers a B.S. in accounting.  Our accounting students are positioned for professional success when they leave here—in 2020, Trinity’s accounting program graduates had the highest average exam score in the state on the CPA exams administered by the Illinois Board of Examiners.  Our pass rate was also highest in the state for schools that had more than 16 sections taken.

Our Accountancy B.S. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Along with exceptional academics, Trinity accounting majors also enjoy all the internship opportunities that Chicago offers. Many of our accounting majors receive job offers before they graduate. Employers know how well-prepared our graduates are.

A B.A. from Trinity will get you started

When you major in theology at Trinity, you will be challenged with fundamental questions about the Bible, God, Christ, salvation, incarnation, and a host of other topics. All courses emphasize the development of a biblical perspective as an integrating element to learning.

A theology degree from Trinity will prepare you for a vocation in churches, non-profit organizations, schools, and mission agencies or to continue your studies in graduate or seminary school.

You can take theology as a second major, which prepares you to develop a Christian perspective in other academic and vocational areas. Trinity also offers a minor in theology.

Pursue a minor from Trinity

If law school is part of your future plans, a Pre-Law minor from Trinity
will help prepare you for the next step in your journey.  This interdisciplinary minor offers a core of History, Philosophy, and Political Science courses, and it allows you to choose additional courses in particular areas of interest.  Course work will help prepare you for the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT), for law school, and for a career as a lawyer.

You will also develop:

  • Greater knowledge of American government
  • Advanced skills in reading, thinking, writing, and speaking, and
  • Familiarity with broader historical, social, and legal themes.

Finally, you will be challenged to think about how a legal career can be an opportunity to serve God’s justice and love in this fallen world.

Earn a B.A. from Trinity

If you have a passion for the world of business and communication, a degree from Trinity will set you on the right path. With a degree in business communication, you will be prepared to work across the dimensions of profit and non-profit organizations of all sizes. Your coursework will blend principles and skills from business, communication, and computer science.

Along with communication courses, you will also take courses in management and marketing, organizational behaviour, economics, and web design.

Our program seeks to integrate the concerns of engaged citizenship and biblical faithfulness. We strive to navigate the biblical tension of being in but not of the world. Conversations in and out of class emphasize ways to be both critical and contributive in public life, in the marketplace, and in the worshipping life of various faith communities. Communication students from our program are thoughtful contributors to society and engaged practitioners for the Kingdom of God.

A B.A. in art studio is for you

If you love to create art across different types of media, Trinity’s art studio program will prepare you to pursue a career in design or advertising, or for continuing studies in graduate school. As you pursue your degree in art studio, you can choose from several concentrations:

• Drawing
• Painting
• Photography
• Sculpture

Trinity also offers a B.F.A. in art studio, with an increased emphasis on in-depth art and design coursework. With a B.A., you will also pursue a minor.

As an art student at Trinity, internships provide practical preparation for your career. Specializations in the fine arts will help you focus on your talents. Built on the creative and intellectual foundation of the fine arts, the art department also offers concentrations in courses that can lead to graduate school in fine art or careers in the graphic arts. The program culminates with an internship and an exhibition in the College’s Seerveld Gallery.

Trinity’s beautiful Palos Heights, Ill., campus is 25 miles from downtown Chicago. That means that the Windy City’s internationally recognized art and design scenes are an extension of our classrooms. Explore Chicago’s exciting galleries, museums, and studios under the guidance of professors whose work is in those galleries and collections. First-hand encounters with artists and designers in Chicago will prepare you for your role as an artist, designer, or art educator in the always evolving contemporary art world.
